Fifteen people died and seven persons were injured in two separate accidents on Sunday night in India's western state of Maharashtra.
The first incident took place in Jalgaon district, 412 km from Mumbai, when a dumper truck collided with a sport utility vehicle when the victims were returning from a wedding event. 10 persons were killed while seven were injured in this incident.
The dumper truck was coming from the opposite direction and collided with the sports utility vehicle, said the local police official.
The injured have been sent to the nearby hospitals.
In another incident in Sangli district, 375 km from Mumbai, five persons died when their car fell into a well, one person miraculously survived.
They were travelling to attend a funeral, when the driver lost control after the steering got locked and fell into the well along the roadside.
