Luanda, Nov. 9 (Xinhua/UNB) -- Angolan President Joao Lourenco on Friday pledged to provide investments to modernize the country's Public Television of Angola (TPA) after learning of the hardships faced by the media outlet.
The president made the pledge following a visit to the TPA's production center to assess the workers' working conditions and seek solutions to the shortage of technical tools faced by the public media outlet.
Lourenco said the public television will be prioritized in terms of investments, while other public media outlets will receive aid in due time.
"The investment aims to provide better service to the public," Lourenco said.
The TPA expects to switch its broadcasting system from analogical to high definition next year, the board said.
