Vietnam's Ministry of Health on Monday afternoon confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 infection in its southern Ho Chi Minh City, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 121.
The three cases are a 29-year-old American man living in Ho Chi Minh City who has traveled between Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, a 27-year-old Canadian man living in the city who has entered Vietnam from Canada and had contact with a recently confirmed case, and a 58-year-old Vietnamese man arriving from the United States with transit in Japan, the ministry said.
A total of 17 patients in Vietnam have been discharged from hospital after recovery, with no deaths reported in the country so far.
There are 645 suspected cases and more than 52,000 being monitored and quarantined in the country, according to the health ministry.
