The government has promoted 43 Superintendents of Police (SP) to the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG). The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry  on Tuesday issued a gazette notification signed by deputy secretary Dhananjay Kumar Das in this regard.
