Lots of potential to grow in beekeeping, footwear sectors: Speakers
Speakers in a seminar said Bangladesh has a lot of potential in production of honey by enhancing beekeeping activities.
They said a number of quantities of honey are imported to meet the growing demand of pure honey in the domestic markets, spending foreign currencies.
The government incentive in beekeeping will encourage the entrepreneurs of this sector which will be benefited in two ways- saving forex and creating employment, they said.

The speaker said this while speaking in a seminar on creating entrepreneurs on beekeeping and small footwear factories.
Master of economics (entrepreneurship economics) of Dhaka school of economics (DScE) organized the seminar on Monday.
Afia Akter, assistant professor of DScE and master student Faijul Siddiki gave a presentation on the topic in the program.
Prof.Dr.Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Coordinator of entrepreneurship economics was the chief guest in the program.
He said Bangladesh Economy has immense potential to upgrade through the informal sector, which needs government policy and incentive to encourage the sectors.

Prof.Abdullah Abu Sayeed Khan, chairman of journalism department, Khulna University was the special guest in the program.
Rehana Parvin, Sara Tasneem, Md.Touhidul Alam, Sadia Islam, Tonmoy Chowdhury, Shamim Ahmad Jushan Ara Mitu, Suvashish Paul faculties of DScE among others, spoke in the function.
