Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Tuesday said steps have been taken so that garment workers cannot enter Dhaka from outside as RMG factories will be operated on a limited scale with workers staying in Dhaka now.

As the government has shut down educational institutions after the confirmation of local transmission of coronavirus cases to prevent the virus from spreading, experts say attention should also be given to the labour-intensive apparel sector.
