Italy, France and Spain have seen a decline in fatality rates in recent days as some European countries plan to slowly resume economic activities.

Spain's coronavirus deaths jumped by a record number Tuesday as the country's medical system strained to care for its tens of thousands of infected patients, and the World Health Organization warned that the pandemic was far from over in Asia.
