Dr Atiur Rahman, former Bangladesh Bank Governor and an Honorary Professor of the Development Studies department at Dhaka University (DU), has been appointed as the Bangabandhu Chair Professor of the university for the next one year.   DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman appointed him at a syndicate meeting held on Wednesday, said a DU press release on Thursday.
