U.S. special envoy for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Stephen Biegun will visit South Korea and Japan in the coming week amid escalating tensions between the United States and the DPRK, said the U.S. State Department on Friday.

 U.S. special envoy for Syria and the anti-ISIS (the Islamic State) coalition James Jeffrey will travel to Turkey later this week, discussing the situation in northeast Syria and the fight against IS with Ankara.
