Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Wednesday sought support from the media to achieve Bangladesh’s foreign policy goal on public diplomacy front to help the country tell its success stories abroad.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Thursday said his ministry is putting emphasis on public diplomacy as part of its effort to uphold Bangladesh as a land of opportunity to the outside world.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Monday sought support from all including the media to promote the brand name of Bangladesh and tell its stories abroad as the government is giving much focus on both economic and public diplomacy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has changed the name of its "External Publicity" wing into "Public Diplomacy" wing to keep it better functional in achieving goals.

The government has decided to establish ‘Bangabandhu Research Center for Foreign Policy and Diplomacy’ in the ‘Mujib Borsho’ to keep Bangabandhu's association with Sugandha alive in the minds of the successive generations.
