Three people, including a member of provincial council from the eastern Logar province, were killed and another one was injured in a shooting attack in the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday, the police said.

At total of five militants were confirmed dead as fighting planes struck a Taliban hideout in Baraki Barak district of Afghanistan's eastern Logar province on Saturday, said an army press release Sunday.
