Refuting media reports on spending Tk 60 crore for making the list of Razakars, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Thursday said no money was spent for it.

The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has withheld the Razakar list amid huge criticisms across the country for having names of freedom fighters in it.

Freedom fighter advocate Tapan Kumar Chakraborty, who found his name on the recently-published list of Razakars, on Tuesday said it would have been better for him to die than seeing his name on the list.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Tuesday said the Liberation War Affairs Ministry should have properly scrutinised the list of Razakars before publishing it.
