Likee launches campaign to promote cyber safety
Short video platform Likee recently launched the "Cyber Safety Campaign."
Under this campaign, Likee users can use the hashtag "CyberSafety" and a designated sticker with animated effects in their videos, where they answer an exciting set of quizzes.
Likee has been organising such campaigns to encourage online safety and promote positive morale among its users through interesting contents.

Interesting and fun-filled questions with multiple answers are available in Likee's "CyberSafety" campaign. Users can either find the hashtag and click to participate without looking for the sticker, or find the sticker and click to use it. One will automatically participate in the campaign while publishing the videos with the hashtag and sticker.
"Short videos possess the potential to convey very strong messages subtly and instantaneously," said a spokesperson of Likee. "At Likee, we felt the necessity to use this power of subtlety to promote online safety of user data, privacy and to maintain standard community guidelines."

Likee previously introduced hashtag campaigns like #BhalorJonnoJano (#KnowForGood) and others, where influencers like Ayman Sadiq, Munzereen Shahid, Toya and Tawhid Afridi joined hands to ensure a safe and healthy online community.
Also, the platform banned 42,751 accounts for violating its safety protection regulations from January to May this year, according to a press release.

Learning together with Likee’s #Steps2learn
Inspiring the spirit of sharing the light of knowledge among everyone, a unique new hashtag campaign – #Steps2learn – is now trending in the popular short-video platform Likee. Users can take part in the campaign and share their knowledge on topics like mathematics, technology, language skills, and many more by making and uploading short videos on the platform using the hashtag.

Already more than 400 videos have been uploaded to the platform using the hashtag, which has collected around 3 million views. Notable youth icons like Ayman Sadiq has joined the campaign as well to promote the efficacy of such collaborative growth.

Likee bans 42,751 accounts in 5 months for violating rules
Singapore-based global short video creation and sharing platform Likee has banned 42,751 Bangladeshi accounts from January to May this year for violating safety protection regulations.
Recently, Likee kicked off a campaign titled "#BhalorJonnoJano" (#KnowForGood) to enlighten the users about Likee community rules and the positive values that it would like to promote among the content creators and celebrities using this platform.

As part of the campaign, actor Mumtaheena Chowdhury Toya, YouTuber Tawhid Afridi, actor Tanha Tasnia, 10 Minute School founder and CEO Ayman Sadiq and Gender Equality Consultant Rijve Arefin created videos, delineating the rules for posting contents and the necessity of everyone's participation to build a safe and healthy online community.
Also, Likee has taken many steps in the last few months to filter any objectionable contents and encourage users to showcase the brighter side of their creativity through creating contents that inspire others and reveal their talents.

The platform strictly maintains a set of criteria to screen out any objectionable content. Also, a complete content security mechanism is in place to inspect fraudulent information, pornographic links, gambling, and other negative activities in real-time.
Joy, Likee's head of operations in Bangladesh, said: "From January to May this year, Likee banned 42,751 accounts for violating rules, and around 8.7 million videos were given penalties per month."

Likee 'Crazy Movie Editors' campaign ends Friday
Singapore-based global short video creation and sharing platform Likee recently launched the "Crazy Movie Editors" campaign for film buffs.
The campaign started on May 22 and will end Friday. All Likee content creators and users can participate in it. All they need to do is to create a movie review video, add #CrazyMovieEditors and upload it.
They can upload a review in a maximum of six parts, each part not being more than one minute. The users can check out the demos for an in-depth understanding of the content type. Once it is uploaded, the creator will have the chance to win exciting prizes.
However, to qualify for the contest, the review contents must fulfil certain criteria – the review video must be original, have genuine style, and be complete.

The contents must also have the creators' perspectives, and clear voice-over or audio. The creators will also have to protect the copyright of the original content.
However, the users can mix voice-over with background music to make their content more appealing and engage other people as voice-over artists. Meanwhile, the content creators can use funny languages, gestures, and postures to make the reviews more interesting and attractive.
Joy, Likee's head of operations in Bangladesh, said, "This activity has been designed to let our users and content creators come up with interesting reviews of movies that will allow them to exhibit their film acumen."
The winning reviewers will get prizes in three categories for the most popular video contents – cash prize, quality prize, and identity prize.

If any user can create review videos for more than five different movies within two weeks, selected accounts will get the opportunity to share $1,000.
Under the second category (quality prize), a user will have the chance to earn as much as $50 from each movie review and $500 from each account. For every 2,000 likes in an individual video, the creator will get $1.
Ten best content creators will be awarded Likee Blue V Badge verifications.
