Bangladesh has ranked among the top 20 unhappiest countries in the world, in the World Happiness Report 2023. Bangladesh ranked 20th among the “unhappiest countries”. The countries are ranked based on statistics from sources such as the Gallup World Poll, which takes into account six main factors: social support, income, health, freedom, generosity, and the absence of corruption, it said. According to the report, these countries also have an average life evaluation that is more than five points lower (on a scale running from 0 to 10) than in the 10 happiest countries.
