At least eleven people were injured in a clash between two BNP factions over holding Iftar gatherings in the Char area of Enayetpur Thana, Sirajganj.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, said Rawshan Yazdani, officer-in-charge (OC) of Enayetpur Police Station, on Wednesday.

Rawshan Ali, former organising secretary and UP member of Sadia Chandpur Union BNP, organised an Iftar at Corona Bazar. Meanwhile, Karim Mollah, former president of Ward-2 BNP, arranged another Iftar event at the Chandpur Government Primary School ground in the same area.
Tensions rose as both events were held in close proximity. At one point, supporters of Rawshan Ali obstructed Karim Mollah's event, triggering the clash, said the OC.
The situation escalated into a chase-counter-chase, leaving 11 people from both groups injured.
Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control, added the OC.
