The government has transferred and given new assignments to 14 senior officials of the Bangladesh Police, including DIGs, Additional DIGs and Superintendents of Police.

The Home Ministry has already issued a notification on Wednesday in this regards.

According to the notification, CID's DIG SM Fazlur Rahman has been transferred as the DIG of Rajarbagh Police Telecom Unit, while DIG Md Sazzadur Rahman of the same police unit has been posted to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) as DIG, and Additional DIG Raihan Uddin Khan has been appointed as Joint Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Superintendent Police (SP) of the Tourist Police unit Khondker Khalid Bin Nur has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner (DC) of DMP. SP of Noakhali PTC Asma Begum Rita has been posted to APBn Headquarters, while SP of PTC Khulna Soma Hapong has been appointed Commandant (SP) of the In-Service Training Centre, Mymensingh.

DMP's Joint Commissioner (JC) Mohammad Osman Gani and Joint Commissioner Sana Shaminur Rahman, who were recently promoted as DIGs, have both been as Additional Commissioners of DMP. Special Branch (SB) Additional DIG Mohammad Fayezul Kabir, who was promoted as DIG recently, has been posted to the same branch as DIG.

In other postings, SP of River Police (Chattogram Region) AFM Nizam Uddin and SP of SB Mahfuza Liza have been transferred to the Police Headquarters as SP (TR post). SB's Additional SP's Md Zayed Shahriar has been posted to the Police Headquarters as Superintendent of Police (TR post) on a supernumerary basis.

Meanwhile, the transfer orders of SB's SP Mohammad Moniruzzaman and Railway Police's SP Saiful Haque, who were earlier posted as supernumerary Additional DIGs, have been cancelled, the notification added.
