"Canadians are returning home onboard a Canadian government assisted flight from Dhaka. Thank you to the Government of Bangladesh, and QatarAirways, for your invaluable assistance and cooperation in getting stranded Canadians home," said a message from Canadian High Commission.
Earlier, Citizens of the USA, 15 European countries, Japan, Malaysia and Bhutan also left Bangladesh by chartered flights.
The UK is also planning to arrange a chartered flight soon for its citizens.
Meanwhile, seven more people died from coronavirus in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours till Tuesday, taking the death toll in the country to 46.
Besides, 209 more people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, raising the number of confirmed cases in the country to 1,012.
