A total of 22 individuals have won Hisense Deep Freezers and 43-inch Hisense Smart TVs by receiving the highest amounts of remittance through bKash ahead of Eid, as part of a joint campaign by bKash and popular electronics brand Hisense.

During the campaign, relatives of expatriates who received remittance of Tk 10,000 or more (excluding the 2.5% government incentive) also received a guaranteed Tk 500 discount coupon, said a press release issued on Thursday.

The initiative aimed to encourage the use of legal banking channels for sending remittances to Bangladesh.

Winners were selected in two phases, and the final group recently received their prize mementos at a ceremony held at the bKash head office.

Currently, expatriates can send remittances to their relatives' bKash accounts in Bangladesh as many times as needed from more than 140 countries, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, USA, the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, Kuwait, Italy, Canada, France and South Korea, via 110 international MTOs.

These remittances are settled via 25 top commercial banks and are instantly deposited into loved ones' bKash accounts, featuring a Tk 25 per thousand as government incentives.

Expatriates can send Tk 25,00, 00 remittance per transaction to bKash as per Bangladesh Bank’s regulations.
