3 of a family among 4 electrocuted in Dhaka's Mirpur

At least four people including three members of a family were electrocuted in the capital's Mirpur area on Thursday night.

The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.

The incident happened in front of Dhaka Commerce College in Mirpur.

Locals said five people were injured due to the electrocution around 10 pm.

Later, they were rescued and taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared four of them dead.

The bodies were kept at the hospital morgue, said Jashim Uddin Mollah, deputy commissioner of DMP (Mirpur).
