Sought comments on the arrest of Swechchhasebak League president Mollah Md Abu Kausar, who is also a president of a club, Quader said, “If someone is president of a club that doesn’t mean that he is involved in casino business.”

About BNP’s criticism over Prime Minister’s India tour, Obaidul Quader said, “If you want to get something you have to give something and there must be a give-and take-relationship. We’ve received more from India. Enclave exchange, maritime boundary are proofs of that.”
Quader also said the agreement on the Ganges River was signed during the tenure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Teesta deal will also be signed during her tenure.
