A team led by Mir Mohammad Zainul Abedin Sebly, ACC director and head of the enquiry team, quizzed them from 10am to 4pm at its Segunbagicha office in the capital.
The two businessmen are JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Ltd’s Chairman Md Abdur Razzak, Toma Construction and Co Ltd’s coordinator (medical team) Md Motiur Rahman.
On July 1, ACC summoned five businessmen for interrogation over mask and PPE corruption.
Elan Corporation Ltd’s Chairman Aminul Islam Amin was also summoned but remained absent on Wednesday due to his poor health condition.
Other traders Abdur Razzak, Motiur Rahman and also Aminul Islam Amin will have to appear before the ACC on July 8.
Meditech Imaging Ltd’s director Md Humayun Kabir and Dhaka Central International Medical College and Hospital’s Chairman, also owner of Lexicon Merchandise and Technocrat Ltd Md Motazzerul Islam Mithu are also scheduled to apprear on July 9, said ACC spokesperson Prnab Kumar.
ACC has formed a four-member probe committee to investigate allegations of corruption in the purchase of N-95 masks and PPE, he said.
The body is led by director Mir Md Joynul Abedin Shibli.
On April 24, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare also formed a committee to investigate the allegations of providing low-quality products including N-95 masks to some government hospitals.
