Another victim who suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast in Dhaka’s Aftabnagar died while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Friday night, raising the death toll to four.
Dr. Shawon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said that Mithila, 7, succumbed to her injuries around 8:15 pm.

She had sustained burns on 60 per cent of her body.
The sole victim, Tanisha, aged 11, is still receiving treatment at the institute.
The blast occurred last Friday (May 16), injuring all five members of the family: Tofazzal Hossain, 45; Munsura Begum, 35; and their three children—Tanzila, 4; Mithila, 7; and Tanisha, 11.

Earlier, Munsura Begum, 35, her daughter Tanzila, 4, and her husband Tofazzal, 45, died on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday, respectively.
The explosion occurred around 12:20 am, said Dr. Shawon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
