National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam on Saturday night urged the government to implement its decisions without delay, following the government's decision to ban all activities of the Awami League under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Shortly after the government's decision, Nahid Islam, in a Facebook post, congratulated the revolutionary students and people and applauded the government.
He also demanded swift implementation of all decisions.
He further mentioned that the fascist perpetrators of mass killings across the country must be identified and brought to justice swiftly.
“The Election Commission must promptly cancel the registration of the fascist Awami League, which has been announced to be banned,” he added.
Earlier, the Council of Advisers, in a special meeting on Saturday night, decided to ban all activities of the Awami League, including in cyberspace, under the Anti-Terrorism Act until the trial of Bangladesh Awami League and its leaders in the International Crimes Tribunal is completed.
