Bangladesh Sammilita Peshajibi Parishad (BSPP) has expressed profound sorrow over the death of renowned educationist Mahmud Ullah, father of eminent orthopedic surgeon Dr. Shah Muhammad Aman Ullah.
In a press release issued on Saturday, BSPP convener Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain and member secretary, journalist Quader Gani Chowdhury, conveyed their heartfelt condolences.
In the condolence message, they mentioned that Mahmud Ullah had dedicated his life to the teaching profession and made remarkable contributions to building an educated and enlightened nation.
His passing is an irreparable loss to the country.
The leaders prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended their sympathies to the bereaved family.
Mahmud Ullah passed away at 6:35 pm on Saturday at Comfort Hospital in the capital while undergoing treatment.
He left behind his two sons, one daughter and host of relatives and well-wishers.
A veteran educator, Mahmud Ullah served as the head of the English department at Government Laboratory High School in Dhaka and also held the position of headmaster at Armanitola Government High School.
