Rajshahi, Oct 31 (UNB) – A court here on Tuesday sentenced a bus driver to one year and three months jail in an accident case.

Rajshahi Chief Judicial Magistrate Court-3 Judge Ujjal Mahmud sentenced Selim Khan, 50, son of Ershad Ali, to the jail term for killing a motorcyclist in a road accident.

The court also fined him Tk 5,000, in default, to suffer, one month more in rigorous imprisonment.

According to the prosecution, Goutam Kumar Sarkar, 22, of Parisho village in Tanore upazila, was killed when a minibus hit his motorcycle in 2015.

Sunil Kumar, maternal uncle of the victim filed the case against Selim Khan with Tanore Police Station.
