Bus and minibus workers blockaded Jamalpur-Mymensingh highway for around one hour protesting an arson attack on a bus following a road accident that left one killed and three others injured on Sunday.
The blockade halted vehicle ferrying through the terminal, causing suffering to commuters.
A man, Abul Kashem, was killed and three others were injured in a collision between an autorickshaw and a passenger bus on Jamalpur-Mymensingh highway in Joyrampur area under Jamalpur Sadar upazila on Sunday morning.
Enraged by the accident, a mob set fire to the bus, triggering anger among bus workers.
Later, firefighters doused the fire.

Protesting the arson attack, the transport workers put a barricade at the ferry terminal, snapping the crossing of vehicles.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar police station Abu Faisal Md Atik said the joint forces dispersed the protesting transport workers from the terminal.
