A case has been filed over the murder of an activist of Chhatra League who was shot dead allegedly by his rival group with the organisation in Brahmanbaria town on Wednesday.
The case was filed against 16 named and 10-12 unknown people on Thursday night following the complaint lodged by the victim's father Aminur Rahman at Sadar Model Police Station.
Former VP of Brahmanbaria Government College Jalal Hossain Khoka has been made the main accused while recently expelled Hasan Al-Farabi Joy, vice-president of District Chhatra League unit, who shot the victim in public, was made second accused.

Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Aslam Hossain said on Friday (June 7) morning that the victim's father filed the case as a plaintiff on Thursday night.
âAn operation is underway to arrest the accused,â he added.

Relatives of the victim Ayesh Rahman Ijaz said he was a supporter of the district BCL secretary and chairman candidate Shahadat Hossain Shuvon.

Ijaz was taken to the district Sadar Hospital. Later, when he was taken to Dhaka for better treatment, he died on the way.
