The traditional 'Mejban and Milon Mela-2025' organised by Chattogram Samity-Dhaka was held in a joyful and festive atmosphere on Saturday at the Government Physical Education College grounds in the capital’s Mohammadpur.
The event saw around 30,000 attendees from various walks of life, not only from Chattogram but also from other districts.
The gathering celebrated the rich cultural traditions of Chattogram in Dhaka, with the unveiling of the 'Chattralshikha'.

Five distinguished individuals were awarded the 'Chittagong Samity Padak' for their outstanding contributions to various fields of society.
The awardees were: Professor Dr. Md. Abul Fayez (Medicine), Ali Hussain Akbar Ali, Chairman of BSRM Group (Industry & Development), late Shahsufi Maulana Abdul Jabbar (Posthumously for Social Service), Laila Siddiqui (Social Service & Contributions to Chattogram Samity), Mukit Majumder Babu (Environmental Development).
The event, chaired by Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, was moderated by General Secretary Engineer Ujjwal Mallick.
