Chaos and violence erupted inside Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday, as members of Dhaka University and Dhaka Metropolitan units of the Chhatra League, and the Dhaka Metropolitan North and South units of the Juba League, brought their belligerence against the quota reform protesters inside the hospital premises, where injured protesters were receiving treatment.

Witnesses, including our Dhaka University correspondent, reported at least four different occasions from 4pm to 7:30pm that saw the BCL men, donning helmets and wielding hockey sticks, wooden rods, or sharp weapons, stormed into the hospital's emergency area, hunting the injured protesters.
The evidence includes footage and images of the incidents collected from those present in the hospital at the time.

The Police and Ansar forces deployed at the gate failed to stop them. It created an extreme level of chaos and noise in the hallway outside the emergency department.
An eyewitness, Moniruzzaman, said he saw the group of miscreants armed with sticks, bricks, and iron rods forcibly throw out the students who were present in the hallway on one occasion.
There was panic within the emergency department when this happened around 5:25pm, he said.
