Police recovered the body of a divorcee from Pabna's Ishwardi upazila on Thursday night.
The victim was identified as Suborna Khatun, 29, daughter of Abdul Sattar of Natore Lalpur Upazila. She used to work at Tebunia Agricultural Farm in Pabna Sadar.
She was residing at a rented house in Dashuria New Traffic Mor area of Ishwardi after getting divorced with her husband.
Being informed, Police recovered the body of Suborna from her house at around 12am, said Arvind Sarker, officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station.
The body was sent to Pabna General Hospital morgue for post-mortem, he added.
"We are preliminarily suspecting that the woman commited suicide consumption of excess sleeping pills due to familial dispute.
However, the exact cause of death would be known after the post-mortem.
An UD (unnatural death) case has been registered in this regard at Ishwardi police station.
Legal action will be taken if complaints are received, added the OC.
