Dhaka, Mar 15 (UNB) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 72 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during in the ongoing anti-narcotics drives in the capital in last 24 hours till 6:00 am Friday.
Detective Branch (DB) in association with the members of local police stations carried out separate drives starting from 6:00 am Thursday.
During the drives, police recovered 2451 pieces of contraband yaba tablets, 355 small packets containing 413 grams heroin, 1.595 KG hemp, 80 bottles phensidyle and 07 ampules of sedatives from their possessions, said DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman.
