The Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) Project of the Bangladesh Computer Council hosted the Bangabandhu Innovation Grant (BIG) 2023 Activation Campaign at Dhaka University (DU) Thursday.

The event was organised in association with Dhaka University Entrepreneurship Development Club (DUEDC). IDEA Project Director and Joint Secretary Md Altaf Hossain presided over the event.

Altaf said: "Apart from awarding grants, the iDEA project provides support through mentoring, training, networking and more."

The iDEA project has been organising the BIG for entrepreneurs since 2019.

Interested applicants can apply for this year's grant online with their ICT-based initiatives by April 22.

A three-day bootcamp will be held following the selection of promising startups.

A selection panel consisting of experienced judges will pick the best startup from the top 51.

The best startup will be awarded a grant of Tk1 core, and the rest of the 50 startups will receive a grant of Tk10 lakh each.
