Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim on Tuesday strictly warned against any kind of corruption in the fisheries and livestock sector amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The minister came up with the warning while attending a meeting with ministry officials following Eid-ul-Azha holidays at the Secretariat.
“No irregularity will be allowed in implementing projects, the officials have to perform their duties as per the law and maintain transparency,” he said.
Ministry officials must report the overall scenario by tracing any irregularities after visiting the field level works, he insisted.
Ministry secretary Rawnak Mahmud, additional secretaries Kazi Wasi Uddin, Subol Bose Moni, and Shyamol Chandra Karmakar were also present in the meeting.
