Two more people have been taken to the isolation unit of Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital here on Monday, taking the total number of patients at the unit to five.
Sushanta Kumar Mohapatra, residential medical officer (RMO) of the hospital, said two new patients -- one aged 20 from Sylhet and another aged 60 from Sunamganj -- were admitted to the isolation unit.
Samples of three patients who were admitted to the hospital earlier have been sent to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) in the capital for test but they were yet to receive the reports, he said.
