A Dhaka court on Tuesday granted the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) five more days to submit the investigation report in the case over the killing of Inqilab Moncho leader Sharif Osman Hadi.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam passed the order after hearing a petition.
The report was scheduled to be submitted on Tuesday but the CID could not submit it and it sought additional time from the court during the hearing.
On January 15, Abdullah Al Zaber, general secretary of Inqilab Moncho and complainant in the case, expressed dissatisfaction with the charge sheet sbmitted by the Detective Branch (DB) and submitted a formal (Naraji petition) objection to the same court.

The court accepted Zaber’s objection and ordered a reinvestigation of the case.
Osman Hadi was shot by assailants on December 12 last year in the Box Culvert Road area of Paltan.
He was taken to Singapore by air ambulance on December 15 for advanced treatment where he died on December 18.
