“The relationship between Bangladesh and France is a global one, from economic development and public policy to security and international trade,” he said adding that higher education and research are essential.

The French envoy made the remarks while launching a new promotion campaign on higher studies in France at a get-together of the France Alumni Network at his official residence here in the evening.

He introduced their new partner – Prominent Consultant – which will now be in charge of promoting higher studies in France and help their future students with the best advice on higher education. 

The Ambassador said the two countries can find ways for the future, adapt to the changing global environment and make the most of young talents through higher education and research.

“We’ll keep working to help Bangladeshis willing to study in France,” Ambassador Schuh said mentioning the launch of a new approach.

He said the need for the highly skilled people is increasing everywhere in the world.

During the period up to 2025, the Ambassador said, half of all jobs are projected to require high level of qualifications.

The French envoy termed the France Bangladesh Alumni an important element of Bangladesh-France bilateral relations.

The France Alumni was created at the initiative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote a global platform of foreign students who studied in France.

Every year more than 100,000 international students graduate from the French education system.

After graduating, the France Alumni allows them to be part of this unique network.

For its fourth anniversary, France has been able to connect 180 alumni members in Bangladesh network.
