Early trading saw a rise in indices as most company shares gained at Dhaka and Chattogram bourses.
During the first two hours of the week’s opening session, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), DSEX, gained 77 points.
Of the other indices, the Shariah-based DSES advanced 20 points while the blue-chip DS30 rose by 32 points.
Out of 265 issues traded, 265 saw price increases against 70 declines, while 59 remained unchanged.
Indices rise in early trading at DSE, CSE
The turnover at the DSE stood at over Tk 850 crore in the first half of the session.
The upward trend was also seen at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) where the overall index rose by 210 points.
Among 212 issues traded, 138 advanced, 52 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
The turnover at the CSE stood at Tk 8 crore during the first half.
