Inqilab Moncho on Thursday announced plans to hold nationwide prayers and protest marches demanding justice for the murder of its spokesperson, Sharif Osman Bin Hadi.
In a Facebook post, the platform said that following Juma prayers on Friday, prayers and protest marches will be held across the country seeking justice for the killing of Osman Hadi, described as a martyr, a vanguard of the anti-Indian hegemony movement, and an architect of a just Bangladesh. The programmes will also include prayers for the forgiveness of his soul.
Osman Hadi, also a prospective candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency, was shot in the head on December 12 while travelling in a rickshaw on Culvert Road in Puratan Paltan.
He was airlifted to Singapore for advanced treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries on the night of December 18.
