Iran Cultural Centre, Dhaka, a wing of Iranian Embassy, organised the programme on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi and Islamic Unity Week (12-17 Rabiul Awal).
Speakers underscored the need for spreading the teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) to face various challenges around the world.
They said Muslims are facing acute problems in absence of the teachings and ideals of the Prophet which is contributing to emerging terrorism, militancy and many more problems.
Vice-chancellor of Southeast University Prof Dr ANM Meshquat Uddin was present at the programme as the chief guest while political attaché of Iran Embassy Mahdi Torabi Mehrabani was a special guest.
Students of Al-Mustafa International University (Bangladesh branch) presented group naat while singers Shah Nawaz Tabib, Mehedi Hasan and Ali Mohammad Mehedi Hossain rendered Islamic songs.
Earlier, a documentary on the life of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) titled 'Poroje' was screened as part of the programme.
