BNP and its associate bodies have chalked out various programmes to mark the day, said BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
As part of the programmes, BNP leaders and activists, led by its standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, will offer fateha at Koko's grave at Banani Graveyard around 10am on Wednesday.
The party will also send cooked food for orphans at Medina Nagar Madrassah in the city’s Mirpur area at noon.
BNP will arrange a milad mahfil at party chairperson’s Gulshan office after Asr prayers seeking salvation of Koko’s departed soul.
Besides, Sayrul said BNP’s different associate and professional bodies will observe the day with holding various programmes, including discussion and milad mahfil.
Born on August 12, 1970, Koko died of cardiac arrest at the age of 45 at his rented house in Malaysia on January 24, 2015. His body was brought back home on January 27 and buried at Banani Graveyard.
