“Light to moderate rain, thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” the Met Office said.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged all over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to the North Bay.
Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak over the North Bay.
A low pressure area is likely to form over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining area during next 24 hours.
Rainfall activity may increase at the end of the 48-hour period, the Met Office said.
Country’s highest temperature was recorded 35.5 degree Celsius in Rangmati and the lowest 24C in Faridpur.
