A sub-inspector of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station was killed in a motorcycle accident on Thursday while returning from official duty.
The officer, Porimol Chondro, 57, was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided while giving way to a truck near the central M A Matin Bus Terminal in the town.
Locals rescued him to Shaheed M Mansur Ali Hospital, where he was declared dead.

OC Mokhlesur Rahman confirmed the incident and said, “The tragedy has caused widespread grief among police personnel.”
