He made the remarks when Commander of Zambian Army Lt Gen William Manipamber Sikazwe met him at Bangabhaban in the evening.
President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.
The exercise can play a very positive role in strengthening relations among the army personnel, the President said.
He also said it will help enhance professional expertise and experience.
Referring to professional training at the National Defence College as well as Defence Services Command and Staff College here, the President said the Zambian army officers can avail of this opportunity to take advanced professional training.
The Zambian army chief apprised the President of his visit to different establishments here and meetings with Bangladesh army chief and other high officials.
He told the President that their military officers are making the sign of professional expertise in their respective fields with outstanding performances after taking training in Bangladesh.
Lt Gen William Manipamber Sikazwe expressed the hope that the relations between members of the armed forces of the two countries will be strengthened in the coming days.
Secretaries concerned to the President were, among others, present at the occasion.
