Prevail Foundation, a youth-led non-profit organisation, is set to launch its first project aimed at empowering underprivileged children through education and creativity.
The project titled Families for Children (FFC) will be officially launched at House 34, Road 22, Sector 10, Uttara on Thursday, bringing together 100 children for a day of learning, creativity and joy.
As part of the programme, each child will receive a stationery kit containing a diary-style notebook, pencils, eraser, sharpener, scale and a zipper pouch – basic study materials that many of them often lack, said a press release.
The foundation said these kits symbolise encouragement for children to continue their education and explore their imagination.
The daylong event will also feature creative workshops in music and art, alongside a food session.
“The First Page is about opening opportunities, not just handing out notebooks,” the Prevail Foundation team said in a statement. “We want every child to feel seen, supported and inspired.”
The foundation said it is preparing more projects under the same vision, including art workshops and community-driven support programmes.
It also said these activities highlight the foundation’s commitment to nurturing both academic growth and creative expression.
The foundation has also invited the public to contribute to its mission of creating opportunities for underprivileged children. Donations can be made through bKash (Merchant): +8801316736143, with contributions starting from Tk 100.
