Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes in all divisions, including Dhaka of the country in 24 hours commencing 9am on Monday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said a met office update.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, according to the BMD.
All maritime ports have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number-3 signal during the period.

The country’s highest temperature 35.3 degree Celsius was recorded in Dimla over the past 24 hours till 6pm on Sunday while the lowest temperature 23.9 degree Celsius was recorded in Bandarban of till 6am on Monday.
Meanwhile, a low pressure area over Northwest Bay and adjoining west Bengal & Bangladesh coast persists.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Panjab, Horyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, the center of the low to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
