Showcasing its heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, on August, the mournful month, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) has announced a series of events throughout the month.
Marking the 48th death anniversary of Bangabandhu and his family members with several events under the title "Shok Theke Shoktir Abbhyudwoy, Shwapno Bastobayoner Drrirho Prottoy," the academy lifted the curtain on a month-long art exhibition on Tuesday at its National Art Gallery in the capital.

BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky inaugurated the exhibition. BSA Fine Arts Director Syed Mahbuba Karim, Secretary Salah Uddin, and other officials were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Under the directive of the BSA Fine Arts Department, the exhibition is showcasing a total of 150 artworks made by 123 eminent artists, ranging from paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, and more.

Artworks of several veteran and legendary artists, including Samarjit Roy Chowdhury, Rafiqun Nabi, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Monirul Islam, Biren Shome, Shahid Kabir, Hashem Khan, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Farida Zaman, Rokeya Sultana, Nisar Hossain, Dewan Mizan, Jamal Ahmed, Mini Karim, and others, are being showcased in this exhibition.

The exhibition will run through the entire month of August at Gallery-1 of the National Art Gallery at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, in the capital’s Shegun Bagicha.
