The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has issued warrants for the arrest of seven people including two policemen in connection with a case filed over crimes against humanity during the July uprising.
The ICT bench led by its chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mazumdar passed the order in separate petitions on Sunday.
The tribunal issued the arrest warrant for crimes against humanity during the mass uprising last July-August, in Dhaka’s Mohakhali, Rampura and Uttara areas.
The tribunal also granted remand for one day in the case of Constable Sujon Hossain, in connection with Chankharpool violence.

Prosecutor Gazi Monawar Hossain Tamim, said so far, the ICT has issued arrest warrants against 115 people in 18 cases. Among them, 35 were in jail.
