Newly elected Mirzanagar Uinon Parishad chairman Nuruzzaman Bhutto, who was arrested in a murder case, took oath in Parsuram upazila of Feni on Thursday after being released on parole.
Feni Deputy Commissioner Abu Selim Mahmud Al Hasan read out the oath.
He was released on parole for three hours by Feni DC following the approval by The Ministry of Home Affairs to his appeal.
Superintendent of Feni jail Anwarul Karim said though he was released for three hours it took less time to complete the oath procedure.

Nuruzzaman was immediately taken back to jail, he said.
On January 11, seven UP chairmen of Parshuram and Chagalnaiya upazilas took oaths but Nuruzzaman couldn’t as he was in jail.
On November 28, last year he was elected chairman of Mirzanagar UP contesting the polls with ‘Boat’ symbol.
On December 23, a shop employee named Shahin was attacked by Nuruzzaman and his group as he asked for the due payment.

He was severely beaten by them and the doctor pronounced him dead when he was taken to the Upazila Health Complex.
Shahin’s wife filed a murder case with Parshuram police station accusing Nuruzzaman and others.
On January 5, this year Nuruzzaman was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members from Tongi area in Gazipur.
