He made the promise while addressing a programme organised by Sammilito Babosay Parishad, an organisation of businesses, at Gulshan Club of the city.
Sheikh Fazle Fahim, president of Sammilito Babosayee Parishad and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), presided over the programme.
Recognising several challenges in front of the city corporation, Atiqul said all of those will be resolved if he is elected mayor again.
Mobile app – ‘Sobar Jonno Dhaka’ – will be launched in three months, Atiqul said, adding that it will allow ordinary citizens to inform authorities about any problems in the city.
Atiqul promised businesses to introduce a system that will allow them to get licenses from home easily.
“[If elected], we’ll install 42,000 led lights in the next six months so that the people can move freely,” Atiqul said, promising to install surveillance cameras in every ward and sewerage lines in Gulshan and Banani.
