Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar has said a vested group has always been disgruntled with the Bangladesh Post Office's mobile financial services provider (MFS) Nagad's success.
It should be clarified that the Post Office will incur no loss due to Nagad, the minister added.

"Please do not be misled by misinformation or rumours. Nagad's every move conforms to all of the country's laws and norms. There is no room for inconsistency," Jabbar said.
"With Nagad, crores of marginalised people in the country were able to enter the mainstream economy," he added.
"Low-income individuals – including children, women, the elderlies, and widows – are now receiving government allowances through Nagad, with 100 percent transparency, while staying at home."
